Zoning plan for Eleven Square Amsterdam-Zuidoost is now final

Amsterdam, June 11, 2024 – The Eleven Square plan in Amsterdam by area developer AM and Ballast Nedam Development can now be executed. The Amsterdam City Council has approved the zoning plan, making it irrevocable.

This is a significant step forward in the transformation of ArenAPoort West into a new mixed-use area full of vibrancy in an urban environment. The realization of the first phase will start in 2025.

Tallest residential tower in Amsterdam
Eleven Square, located between the Johan Cruijff ArenA and Bijlmer ArenA station, consists of four buildings. One of them will be the tallest residential tower in Amsterdam: a new landmark on the city’s skyline.  

Vibrant and sustainable community 
Within this mixed-use development, a dynamic and sustainable community is being created. A central square serves as the beating heart of Eleven Square, featuring a combination of top brands, local favorites, health and sports, new food and community concepts, offices, and a mix of rental and ownership homes.

Next step
With the irrevocability of the zoning plan, the next phase of development can begin. Construction of the first cluster will start in 2025. The first building is expected to be completed in 2029.
